What is a UART display?


HOTDISPLAY UART monitor is an LCD screen that uses a UART serial port for communication. Users send instructions to the serial LCD screen through a single-chip microcomputer, and the serial screen automatically completes all operations for drawing on the LCD screen. Due to its simple operation, even people who do not understand any programming can easily develop the human-computer interaction interface they want.

HOTDISPLAY UART monitor consists of two parts: serial screen hardware and the included serial screen software:


1. The hardware part includes a processor, LCD screen, resistive touch screen or capacitive touch screen FLASH memory RS232 or 485 serial port chip, audio and video decoding chip SD card slot, etc. Some models also include WIFI, 4G, Bluetooth and other modules, voice recognition, facial recognition, fingerprint recognition, etc.


2. The operating software is generally divided into two parts, namely the system software running on the UART monitor and the interface development software UI Editor running on the PC Windows operating system, which is used for program debugging software UI EZUI.


The user first creates a "Project BIN file" using the UI editor, and then downloads the compiled "Project BIN" file to the FLASH of the serial monitor through the UART port, USB port or SD card of the serial monitor.
